Pinoys in Middle East Reunite with Family Through TV5 International and OSN’s “PBA Selfie Promo”

TV5 International gave back the love to basketball loving Filipinos in the Middle East by giving them a chance to come home and watch the PBA games live with their loved ones in the recently-concluded and well-received PBA Selfie Promo – made possible by OSN, Aksyon TV International, TAG 91.1, Sky Freight, together with partners The Filipino Times, Pilipino Star Ngayon, Barrio Fiesta, and Intramuros.

The PBA Selfie Promo encouraged Filipinos in the Middle East to post photos of their “pinaka-astig” basketball poses on their social media accounts with the hashtags #osnaksyonpba and #tag911. Every day during the duration of the promo, 2 participants won 5 PBA tickets for their families in the Philippines while 2 very lucky grand prize winners were flown to the Philippines to personally watch the PBA Finals live with their families.

“We know how our kababayans miss home, so we gave them the chance to not only be reunited with their loved ones in the Philippines but also to share with them the experience of a lifetime of watching a PBA finals game and enjoying a rare VIP treatment at the same time,” said Chuck Silva, OSN’s Pinoy Product Head.

It was truly a surreal and unforgettable experience for grand prize winners Emil Idang and Magnolia Martonito, who enjoyed the memorable treat of coming home, getting reunited with their families, watching a PBA game live with them, and even having a rare meet and greet with the Alaska Aces and San Miguel Beermen during Game 2 of the PBA Governor’s Cup finals. The promo winners were flown in to Manila accompanied by TAG 91.1’s DJ Chikay.

“The PBA Selfie Promo is TV5 International’s way of giving back to our loyal Kapatid subscribers in the Middle East who show great enthusiasm and support for Philippine basketball as they enjoy watching the PBA games on our Aksyon TV International channel. This is just one of many treats we have in store for our growing community of Kapatid viewers in the Middle East and around the world,” shared Pie Basiao, TV5 International’s FVP and Head of Sales and Marketing.
